PROJEKAT MUZIČKA ARHEOLOGIJA
Muzički vremeplov-etnoarheologija muzičkih instrumenata
Muzički instrumenti iz arheoloških i muzeoloških zbirki muzeja u Srbiji
Autori projekta
Marija Rakć-Lovrić, etnomuzikolog i Milena Vasiljević, arheolog
PROJECT MUSIC ARCHAEOLOGY
Musical Time Machine-etnoarheology of musical instruments
Musical instruments from the archaeological museums and the collections of museums in Serbia
Authors
Marija Rakić-Lovrić, master ethnomusicologist and Milena Vasiljević, archaeologist
This project has been designed and implemented with the idea that Serbian scientific and general audiences get to know the idea of the origin and the emergence of musical instruments, using the skills, achievements and discoveries in the field of archeology and ethnomusicology, with the emphasis on the archaeological sites in the territory of Serbia. Research related to musical instruments found at the archaeological sites on the territory of today's Serbia so far has not happened.
The manner in which he conducted the analysis of the data found on instruments from archaeological sites in Serbia is carried out through the presentation one at a cultural level with all the found instruments in it, while on the other hand made a comparative research on the development of each instrument individually. Because these instruments are very few, a further aim of this project is to establish comparisons with instruments found at sites in Europe, as well as detailed further, to provide a more comprehensive picture of the development of man and his musicianship from the Paleolithic onwards. The study of this kind of cultural property is a very important scientific research, which examines not only the music in the region from prehistoric times to the present, but also the context of the development of culture, the culture of life, as well as aspects of the life of the individual and the community in which the sound and music had an important place and the different purposes of ritual and religion to entertainment. What is particularly interesting is the abstraction of multi-ethnicity, the assessment of the historical continuity of cultures and peoples who have lived in this area and left a legacy in part of their culture. Meetings of cultures and their mutual influences have contributed to the creation of instruments and tools later in the territory of both Serbia and the central Balkans, in particular in the field of folk music.
This project was presented at the International Festival Ruidal Sud, which was implemented in August 2015 in Novi Sad, through a series of lectures and workshops, as students of humanities and other speakers and participants of the festival and the general public, provided some insight into the interesting, the potential and importance of this kind of research in our region.
